The People’s Organization for Progress roundly condemns the FBI’s attack on long time peace activist Carlos Montes!
As the people’s resistance movements to corporate hegemony grows, so should we also expect to face the hand of repression. In so doing, all progressive forces should stand together in defense of anyone who comes under such bogus repressive attacks as Brother Carlos has. Our mantra in situations like this is that if you touch anyone of us, you have touched everyone of us. Of course, we should respond accordingly.
We demand, in unity with so many other freedom loving people around the country, that the charges Carlos be dropped!
On Saturday, March 10, as apart of our People’s Daily Protest Campaign for Jobs, Peace, Equality and Justice, an agitation campaign that we are conducting for 381 straight days, The New Black Panther Party will be hosting that day’s rally in defense of Black Panther exilee Assata Shakur. As you may know, the NJ State Attorney is seeking to have the $1mil bounty on Assata’s head raised to $5mil! We will see to it that this case also takes centerstage on that day!
