In late September, the FBI carried out a series of raids of homes and antiwar offices of public activists in Minneapolis and Chicago. Following the raids, the
Seattle activists visited the local FBI office to serve a “People’s Subpoena” and protest the ongoing harassment of anti-war activists around the country. One of the organizers, Helen Jaccard, described the action:
