Statement of Solidarity from MN-WEB

Every war is a war against the earth.

Every war is a war against the earth. Depleted uranium-core bullets and shells are being fired by U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan and were used in Kosovo. Uranium is dangerous to all living things for 4.5 billion years, the estimated age of the earth.

Damage is not limited to “the enemy” and damage extends beyond the time of a battle. Current U.S. warfare is therefore in violation of international laws, treaties and United Nations principles (Nuremberg, Geneva, etc.)

Human rights always suffer in wartime as do the rights of other life forms. MN-WEB therefore opposes all war.
