Grand Rapids Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression Statement for Rick Toledo

The Grand Rapids chapter of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression stands in firm solidarity with Rick Toledo, a graduate student and member of Students for a Democratic Society at Cal Poly Tech- Humboldt. Toldeo is facing criminal charges for standing up for Palestine on his campus and demanding they divest from Israeli bonds.

We join organizations across the nation to say protesting is not a crime and we demand no charges be brought against him!

Our organization is committed to fighting against political repression arrest and the student movement has faced a brutal response to their righteous stance against the U.S. funded genocide in Palestine. The arrest of Toledo is meant to have a chilling effect on student activism around Palestine. We say it is right to rebel and stand with the students of Humboldt in their fight for Palestine.

We call on organizations across to join us in this fight and demand no charges be brought against Rick Toledo!
