Statement from the FMLN Committee of Minnesota on the New Raid on Companero Carlos Montes’s House

*FMLN Minnesota, Saturday, May 21, 2011*

The FMLN Committee of Minnesota “Combatiente Anonimo” joins once more to demand that the Obama administration stop once and for all this witch hunt that the FBI is carrying out against our friends in the anti-war movement.

Once more the North American empire’s abuses are laid bare against its own citizens that reject wars and invasions that this administration is carrying out in other countries around the world. This time we stand with our friend and brother Carlos Montes, a fighter for immigrant rights, for Chicano rights and a national leader against invasions and wars. Our companero’s house was assaulted by an armed FBI contingent on May 17 at 5:00 a.m. in which these FBI agents broke their way into the house by force while Carlos Montes was sleeping.

In the face of this the FMLN Committee of Minnesota demands that the FBI immediately return everything they confiscated.

We demand that they stop the raids against the companeros of the anti-war movement and social movements.

We demand that the charges they’re accusing Carlos Montes of be removed immediately.

We demand that the Obama administration stop the repression against social movement leaders.

##COMUNICADO DEL FMLN MN ANTE NUEVA REDADA EN CASA DE EL COMPANERO CARLOS MONTES

Nuestro comité del FMLN de Minnesota “Combatiente Anónimo” se une una vez mas para demandar al Gobierno de Obama que pare de una vez por todas esta cacería de brujas que el FBI esta llevando acabo en contra de nuestros compás del movimiento anti guerrea.

Una vez mas queda al descubierto el abuso del imperio Norte Americano en contra de sus ciudadanos que rechazan las guerras invasoras que esta administración esta llevando acabo en otros países del mundo. Esta vez nuestro compa y hermano Carlos Montes un luchador por los derechos de los Inmigrantes, y luchador por los derechos de los chicanos y un líder nacional contra las guerras invasoras. La casa del companero fue asaltada por un contingente armado del FBI, el dia lunes 17 de Mayo a las 5am en la cual estos elementos del FBI irrumpieron en la casa usando la fuerza cuando Carlos Montes se encontraba durmiendo.

Ante estos echos el comité del fmln de Minnesota demanda al FBI que entregue inmediata mente las pertenencias confiscadas.

Que paren las redadas a compañeros del movimiento social y anti- guerra.
Exigimos que los cargos por los cuales se acusa a Carlos Montes sean removidos inmediatamente.
Exigimos al gobierno de Obama aque cese con la represión en contra de los lideres de movimientos sociales.
