Reproductive Justice Action- Milwaukee Stands in Solidarity with Alejandro Orellana

You can find the statement linked here as well.

On June 12th, a member of Centro CSO, Alejandro Orellana, was arrested in an FBI raid. Alejandro is currently facing bogus charges of “conspiracy to commit civil disorders and aiding and abetting to commit civil defense orders,” and could face up to 5 years in prison, due to his community organizing efforts focused on fighting against the ICE raids in Los Angeles.  Alejandro was released the following day of their arrest thanks to the mobilization efforts of Centro CSO and the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression.

Reproductive Justice Action- Milwaukee demands that all charges against Alejandro are dropped. As a Reproductive Justice organization we recognize that the attacks on immigrants and the political repression towards protesters, carried out by the Trump Administration, are in direct opposition to building safe and sustainable communities. We refuse to be silent as the administration and their enforcers tear apart marginalized communities

Alejandro is a known leader in the immigrants rights movement in Los Angeles  for the past decade.  He is facing these charges just for speaking out. This attack on Alejandro is a threat to every community organizer's right to free speech, to protest and to fight for safe and sustainable communities.

We stand in solidarity with Alejandro Orellana!

Drop the Charges!

Protesting is NOT a crime!
