Seattle United to Stop FBI Repression, an ad hoc coalition of many peace and justice groups and activists, will gather tomorrow morning at Hec Edmondson Pavilion at the University of Washington, where President Obama will be speaking.
We will have a banner reading, “Obama: Stop FBI Raids on Peace Activists.”
We will pass out hundreds of flyers to people who are gathering to hear President Obama rally voters for Sen. Patty Murray and other Democrats.
ATTACHED AS A PDF IS THE FLYER WE WILL DISTRIBUTE TOMORROW.
Below you will find an article from Fight Back News about a large Chicago rally to protest FBI repression of our peace and solidarity movement.
Below that article is the text of our flyer, including background on the recent FBI Raids.
Please join us tomorrow morning if you can. We have lots of flyers to disseminate and good conversations awaiting us.
We plan to pass out flyers from 10 am to 12 noon at the plaza in front of Hec Edmundson Pavilion, Montlake Blvd N.E at N.E. Pacific Place (3 blocks north of Montlake Bridge).
Some of us will be there beginning at 9 am. Look for our black and white banner reading, “Obama: Stop FBI Raids on Peace Activists.”
If we are forced out of the Plaza, we will gather directly across the street or as close as possible to people who are lining up to see President Obama.
Wage Peace!
